    GOOD ESSAY

Farid and Fairuz were brought up to be kind towards the handicapped. They had a brother who was in the Special Education's program. Their brother, Fahmi had cerebral palsy. He was not very bright. Farid and Fairuz always hated if any boys made fun of Fahmi. They will always defend and protect Fahmi. Their mother never worried when Fahmi was with his brothers. The two boys always helped the handicapped whenever they met any handicapped people. Once, Fairuz saw some boys chasing a boy with no arm. He was very angry. He took his baseball bat and chased the boys. Two of them was too scared and fell into a big drain. The other two met with a dog and were chased by the big dog. Fairuz laughed when he saw the boys were chased by the dog.

One Saturday, Fairuz and Farid were going to the tuition centre in Johor Jaya. They took Science classes there. They wanted to be doctors, so they needed to get an 'A' for their Science subject. They always take the bus in front of their house. That day, they queued up before going up the bus. Suddenly they saw a blind man trying to get up the bus. They quickly went forward to help him. The blind man, Pak Tam was very grateful. After helping Pak Tam, the boys went back to queue up. When they boarded the bus, they saw Pak Tam was still standing. Fairuz asked why Pak Tam was still standing. Pak Tam just smiled and said never mind. Fairuz saw that there was a man sitting in the seat of the handicapped. He approached the man. He asked him to stand up and let Pak Tam sit. The man refused and scolded the boys. He said to mind their own business.

Fairuz and Farid were angry. They asked the bus conductor to tell the man to stand and let Pak Tam sit. The conductor could not do anything. After a while, a few of the passengers started to see what was going on. The passengers started to shout at the man and soon after that the man began to feel embarrassed. He finally stood up and let Pak Tam sit down. He also apologized to Pak Tam and said he was very sorry he was selfish. Pak Tam just smiled and said he understood. He was also very grateful to the two boys who fought for him. The boys said it was just their responsibility to do so. The other passengers just smiled and thought how wonderful the world would be if all the boys would be as thoughtful as the boys. Pak Tam just smiled and said a small prayer for the boys as he went down the steps helped by another passenger. (465 words)
